Oh sure she was an animal rights activist and European Cinematic “sex symbol”
BUT
She was also revealed to be a woman with a contemptible outlook, as she:
Dismissed & attacked the accounts of women of the Me-Too movement
and threw her star power behind right wing political candidates and causes

Obnoxious bigotry aside, she was a highly praised starlet of her time, she died in December of 2025. The film, rich in misogyny, is directed by Roger Vadim and available for viewing presently on HBOMAX (for however much longer we maintain those subscriptions), follows the story of Juliette (Bardot), a hedonistic 18 year orphan in the south of France with a sex drive in hyper mode and a penchant for flouting societal norms and conventions. The movie utilizes the wild temptress who must be tamed by sweet well meaning husband trope 🙄. The film is said to have “revolutionized” French Cinema and is the vehicle responsible for driving Bardot into Superstardom. Hmph! Do with that information what you will.

My verse borrows from the film primarily in name only. As discussed within the Raw Diamond Road Vlogette, whilst at top of this extended Off Season, sometime in 2018, I’d assumed my creative spark had exiled itself to a motionless tundra where it would spend the remainder of it’s days dying of thirst. However, as I sat on a carpeted floor several days following the passing of my grandmother, water fell from my eyes like cumulus rain clouds soaking fertile ground. As I wept over the unkindled flame of her now extinguished life, a verse stormed through me, rebirthing my creative essence as it announced itself:. . . & God Created Darling Bonnie.
About The Showroom!
This showroom deals with the business of identity, of looking into one’s own eyes even as they are mirrored back to you through generationally cursed iris’s of your relatives, breaking with them in healing elevation, whilst transmuting the unavoidable truths carried forth within you from their archetypal framework. It regards accepting oneself and one’s journey even in states that are troubling, transcending the familial narrative of norms and proceeding forth with nerve enough to honor and exalt oneself, as you unabashedly walk your own way.
